What happens when a carrot becomes a building block, a berry becomes a detail, and a plate becomes your canvas?

Join the Edible Art Experience

At STREAM Festival 2026, food becomes more than something you eat.
It becomes something you explore, shape, and experience.

The Edible Art Experience is an interactive, hands-on activity where children and grown-ups transform fresh, everyday ingredients into playful, visually striking creations—using their imagination, curiosity, and sense of adventure.

No prior skills. No pressure. Just the freedom to create.

Join the Edible Art Experience

This is not a cooking workshop. It's an invitation to see and engage with food differently. It's a permission for kids and grown-ups to play with food with respect, intention, and attention!

But don't worry, we don't waste our creative supplies! Once we create our edible masterpieces, we enjoy every last bite of them!

What to expect?

During the Edible Art Experience participants are invited into an open creative space where they can:

Experiment with natural colors, textures, and shapes

Combine ingredients in unexpected ways

Build their own edible compositions—abstract, playful, or inspired by the world around them

Engage all senses through touch, sight, and imagination

You can join at any moment, stay as long as you like, and create at your own pace.

Why does it matter?

Creativity doesn’t start with perfection. It starts with permission.

This experience is designed to:

Encourage creative confidence through hands-on exploration

Turn everyday food into a tool for expression and discovery

Support sensory learning in a natural, intuitive way

Create moments of connection—between children, families, and ideas

By turning food from fuel into an experience, participants discover a new relationship with both creativity and nourishment.

Who is it for?

Curious children who love to explore and create.

Families looking for meaningful, hands-on experiences.

Anyone open to play, experiment, and try something different.

All ages are welcome. Participation is simple and accessible.

How does it work?

All materials and ingredients are provided. Just show up and start creating!

You’ll find a selection of fresh, colorful ingredients and simple tools, ready to be transformed into your own edible artwork.

You are also welcome to bring food items from elsewhere in the festival and incorporate them into your creations.

Come and dare to play with food!

There’s no right way to do this!

Who is the experience host?

The Edible Art Experience is created and facilitated by Sofia Yotova Octophina—a creative empowerment coach, multidisciplinary artist, and food designer known for transforming everyday materials into tools for expression and connection.

Her work blends art, food, and play to help people reconnect with their creativity in a way that feels natural, accessible, and deeply engaging.

Drawing from her background in creative coaching, edible art, and sensory-based practices, she creates immersive experiences where participants are invited to explore, experiment, and express without pressure or perfection.

At STREAM Festival, she brings this approach into a family-friendly format—guiding children and adults alike into a space where curiosity leads, creativity unfolds, and food becomes a medium for imagination.

What is STREAM Festival?
